RUN THE RACE WELL
by Bill Kochman
We have all heard the story,
Of the tortoise and the hare,
The hare acted so confidently,
But just never made it there.
As for that wise, old tortoise,
He just patiently trod along,
And while he was a lot slower,
To him the victory did belong.
Running our long race of faith
Is very similar to that tale,
It's not really how fast we run,
Only that we run the race well.
The poem above speaks to quality. As you go out this week, focus on the quality of your efforts. Our relationships, interactions, plans, and service should be of a quality that would be pleasing to the Lord. Make quality a way of life. Day by day, week by week, give the process of life the quality it deserves.
His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things.
