Matthew 14:28-31

“Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.”

“Come,” he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!” Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,”he said, “why did you doubt?”

Matthew 14:28-31

If you are experiencing a season of doubt, I would like to extend some truths we can find from the "walking on water" passage. Peter did walk on water. Often we too begin our walking with the same type of confidence. When he had his focus on Jesus, he was just fine. It was when he saw the wind that he shifted his focus and became fearful. If you are experiencing turbulence in your life or the winds of change have you fearful, shift your focus to Jesus. He is and will always be stronger than your fears. No matter what you are undertaking this week, remember, Jesus is there to catch you.
