Mark 12:31

.... Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these.

After telling us that the greatest commandment is loving God with all of our hearts, Jesus swiftly added this one as the second. It is not hard to love God, who is the giver of every good and perfect gift.

But your neighbor.............. that can sometimes be difficult.

People around us can often get on our nerves and bring the worst out of us. In these moments, consider the first couple of virtues in 1 Corinthians 13:4. Love is Patient, love is kind. You have heard this chapter recited at almost every wedding you have ever attended; however, patience is the virtue that can save us from our anger inside. Practice being patient in your actions, speech, and encounters with the people around you. It will allow you to hold back the venom and exercise grace with others. When patience runs out, cover your attitude with kindness.

I know it is easier said than done. However, challenge yourself to display this love to your neighbor. There is no other commandment greater than these!
